kyoushi-chan

Unrelated to the whole stupid anime thing (because usernames never get deleted no matter what anyway), I decided to change my deviantART name anyway, just based off the fact that I don't really like my dA username to begin with. I don't really think it represents my art very well (I am not personally Japanese and I do not do artwork related to anything Japanese [although I do very much so appreciate them]).  I have been wanting a different user-name for some time now. I figure now is the most appropriate time, because in a couple weeks I will be moving to a different city and starting a whole new life, so having a whole new dA name will just add to that nice change of pace.  I know that I will lose all the +favs and watchers, but that's okay (plus I will be sending individual notes to everybody once I get everything up over there and start to take stuff down here).  The main purpose behind it is until I get a .com site up for myself I want to have something more professional sounding (or at least more-obviously me than an inside joke) to hand to somebody who wants to look at my art.  If you want to put a watch on my new page it is here:


eventually everything from here will be there, including my favorites and the people that I watch. It is going to take some time, but I will slowly be moving house completely from here to there and this page will not exist anymore as it is.

I have 84 pages of +favs to re-+fav (and 667 people to re-watch) lol.....that isnt gonna be fun lol

My email is not working right now so I'm going to have to put this here.  I just got a message on my website asking me to change my dA user name because it is apparently infringing on some anime I've never heard about (people who know me know I don't really follow anime). First off, it is against deviantART rules to change your user name once already in place. Otherwise I would have changed it a long time ago. After all these years on deviantART I would have to change my account completely because it causes me to lose my entire audience (my watchers), I watch approx. 650 people so I would lose that, and I would also lose all of my +favs and my daily deviation award. Secondly, I do not possibly comprehend how I could be infringing on anything. "Kyoushi" is simply a Japanese word meaning "proud" and "kyoushi-Chan" is the nick-name my significant other gave to me five years ago because he thought I was very proud. It has nothing to do with any anime, if one does so exist. I do not feel that using a Japanese adjective in my user-name is any kind of infringement. Therefore, I must decline to dispose of the name "kyoushi-chan" as my deviantART user name.

So Ive been taking ceramics class....I was originally going to take photography but my friend Megan talked me into ceramics and I am so glad she did. I made a lot of neat stuff...which will look crappy on dA because everything I do looks crappy in dA and ceramics never get much notice on here anyway lol. I'm taking advanced ceramics next semester to make more stuff.   Does anybody have any good matte glaze recipes or know where to find some?


Also plan to paint more in the coming months. I'm gonna paint like there's no tomorrow lol.  When I get it up here though I do not know.
